An independent platform created to support more sustainable interior design choices.

riivin was created and curated as a practical, research-led resource for sustainable interior design. The platform brought together a selection of responsible products and materials, an overview of second-hand marketplaces, rental options, and more, guiding design professionals and enthusiasts towards more responsible choices.

Sustainability from the bottom up. The premise that led to the creation of riivin is the belief that change comes from everyday individual decisions. By gathering responsible options in one place and making them legible, the platform aimed at supporting the transition of the design industry to more sustainable standards through information and empowerment.

A content-driven approach. Each product was presented with an overview of the reasons that made it a more sustainable option. Established brands and independent designers lived side-by-side, grounding the selection solely on the creativity and ingenuity behind responsible materials and solutions.

An empowering resource. Independent and research-led, riivin provided a set of concrete, reachable choices for sustainable interior design. The thinking behind the platform is the same that informs anooi’s approach to responsible design. The initiative was a finalist for Rossana Orlandi Plastic Prize 2020 - Awareness on Communication.
