Observations: colour as movement

The autumn palette is a process. Leaves move from green to gold to rust gradually, irreversibly, contingently, progressively darkening from the edges to the centre as they respond to temperature, to rain, and to the particular light of each day. Noticing this shift is realizing that colour is more a movement than a state.
The most considered palettes in designed spaces often embody a similar evidence of time, incorporating materials whose colour is the result of a process rather than an immutable property.
