With early autumn, leaves begin to draw inward. Their edges curl towards the centre, and each leaf folds into a smaller, closer version of itself. People do the same at this time of the year, gravitating towards window seats, enveloping chairs, corners that invite the body to curl the way leaves do.
Attuned interiors recognize this seasonal instinct and offer a spatial response to it, with alcoves and nooks that welcome the human body as well as the beginning of a new season in the natural world.
